Join us for a memorable evening of art, connection, and community as TMA West MichiganRMA West Michigan (Risk Management Association of West Michigan) & CREW West Michigan  host an exclusive inside look at the Grand Rapids Ballet. Founded in 1971, this non-profit has faithfully served the city for decades. As culture and the community continue to evolve, this organization is in the midst of a rebirth and renewal. With new leadership, the Ballet hopes to cast a wider net, aiming to expose more residents to this beautiful form of art and entertainment. With work and commitment, Michigan's only professional classical ballet company will not just SURVIVE, but will THRIVE.

5:50 – 6:20 PM | Special Dance Performance
Enjoy a live performance by member of the acclaimed Grand Rapids Ballet, showcasing the grace and talent of Michigan’s only professional ballet company. Located in the Peter Martin Wege Theater, this unique theater allows attendees to experience ballet from a close vantage point...once described as "ballet in your living room".  

6:20 – 6:40 PM | Transition DiscussionThe evening will also feature an open discussion on the current state of this longstanding artistic organization.

Discussion topics to include: 
*The affects of aging donor demographics on artistic and cultural organizations in our city.
*Upcoming traffic pattern changes in the Wealthy Street corridor (including the ArciSure Ampitheater and remapping of the highway on ramps). What will this mean to the neighborhood that the Ballet resides in.
*Executive Leadership turnover and the importance of planning for non-profits and businesses.
